THE HOUSES
HAWK HOUSE
Named for the Eurasian goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) - found in both deciduous and coniferous forests.
VULTURE HOUSE
Named for the turkey vulture (Cathartes aura) - ranges from southern Canada to the southernmost tip of South America. It inhabits a variety of open and semi-open areas, including shrublands and deserts.
EAGLE HOUSE
Named for the white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) - sometimes known as the 'sea eagle'.
White-tailed eagles usually live most of the year near large bodies of open water, including coastal saltwater areas.
FALCON HOUSE
Named for the peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) - they reach their highest densities in upland, mountainous areas of Wales, southern Scotland and northwest England.
